Secondary/high school transcripts
-
Freshman applicants can generally be reviewed and admitted based on unofficial transcripts, except for applicants submitting Cambridge exam results which need to be verified through Cambridge International Direct. Secondary school graduates must provide their Secondary Education Examination from Grade 10 through the National Examinations Board (NEB) and their final exam. The following credentials are accepted as final exams: 1) the School Leaving Certificate Examination from Grade 12 through the NEB, 2) AS/A Levels from an approved UK-based exam board, 3) Technical/professional proficiency certificates awarded by a university or the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training. Applicants who are still completing secondary school may apply their Grade 10 NEB exam results.
University transcripts
-
Transfer applicants must provide official transcripts from all universities attended for review. For most applicants, this means sending original or certified paper copies in the mail. Emailed transcripts can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis (link to grad documents page for more info).
WVU reserves the right to require official or additional documents as needed to complete a complete and fair review.
Proof of English Proficiency

Minimum Admission Requirements
WVU will convert your results into a U.S. grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 maximum scale.
Freshman Requirements
Applicants with a converted GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 can be admitted. If you were admitted based on your Grade 10 results, your final GPA will be updated upon providing the final exam. Some majors have higher GPA requirements for direct entry.
Transfer Requirements
Applicants with a converted GPA of at least 2.0/4.0 can be admitted. WVU will calculate a combined GPA if you attended multiple institutions. If you were admitted based on in progress results, your final GPA will be updated upon providing the final required documents. Some majors have higher GPA requirements and/or course requirements for direct entry.
