2026 Change of Term Request for Admitted Students

Freshman Students

You may use the Change Request Form on the MyWVU Portal or work directly with your adviser during New Student Orientation (NSO). 

If moving from fall 2026 to summer 2026 or if you are moving from summer 2026 to fall 2026, we will process your request. 

If moving to a 2027 term, your application will be withdrawn. You will receive an email with further instructions on how to proceed with this process.

• You may not be eligible for a change of term if you are conditionally admitted.
• Students will need to sign in to the MyWVU Portal to submit a Change of Term Request located in the top right-hand corner of the portal homepage.
• An official final high school transcript with graduation date must be on file.
• Your current admission application will be canceled.
• Eligibility for select majors, the Honors College, and merit scholarships may change.
• Housing will be canceled and may be manually reassigned.
• You may be ineligible to receive refunds of the academic and housing deposits. Refund deadline is December 1 for Spring and May 1 for Summer and Fall.

Transfer Students

You may request to have your enrollment term changed to another term within 1 year. 

• Students will need to sign in to the MyWVU Portal to submit a Change of Term Request located in the top right-hand corner of the portal homepage.
• Your current admission application will be canceled.
• Eligibility for select majors and merit scholarships may change.
• Housing will be canceled and may be manually reassigned.
• You may be ineligible to receive refunds of the academic and housing deposits. Refund deadline is December 1 for Spring and May 1 for Summer and Fall.
• Please continue to send official transcripts to WVU that show completed courses and courses in-progress so your WVU academic adviser is able to best assist you with your WVU course schedule.
