Favorite Thing About WVU
What I love most about WVU is the sense of belonging that comes with being a Mountaineer. No matter where you’re from, once you're part of this community, you're family. The pride is real, and it stretches far beyond campus. You can be anywhere in the world, see someone in a flying WV, and instantly feel that connection. I was born and raised in West Virginia, so seeing how WVU gives back to our state means a lot to me. I’m incredibly proud to be a Mountaineer, and one of my favorite things is welcoming others into this big, supportive, and fun family.
Favorite Thing About Your Job
When I was applying to college, I remember how scary the process felt. Thankfully, I was lucky to have a wonderful recruiter who helped me feel seen and supported. That experience stuck with me. Now, I get to be that person for fellow West Virginians. I’m here to help students and families navigate the process with confidence. There’s no such thing as a silly question, and I’m here to cheer you on, whatever your path may look like.
Advice for Students
I didn’t fully realize WVU was the right place for me until I came on my campus tour. If you have the chance, I really encourage you to visit. Schedule an academic appointment, try some local food, go to a game, and see what life in Morgantown feels like. That visit helped me picture myself here, and I ended up becoming a campus tour guide for three years because I loved sharing that experience with others.
When You're Not Working You're
Spending time with the people I love, staying connected to my community, and getting outside whenever I can. I feel lucky to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, so I try to enjoy it through hiking, skiing, taking photos, camping, and finding new swimming holes. I also really enjoy celebrating the culture of our region. I spend time square dancing, volunteering at my local community theater, and slowly learning how to play the banjo. There’s always something special to take part in around here, and I love being involved.
