Connecting WVU’s downtown, Evansdale, and Health Sciences Center campuses, the Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) has shuttled riders for more than 30 years. The system consists of 8.2 miles of guideway, five passenger stations, and a fleet of fully automated vehicles.
PRT costs are included in undergraduate tuition and fees; students simply swipe their Mountaineer Card IDs at the PRT station for admittance.
Riding the PRT allows students to bypass parking and traffic hassles, which is why many students find the PRT is the easiest, fastest, and least expensive mode of transportation.
