Become a Mountaineer
Your first step to joining the Mountaineer Nation is applying for admission – and we try to make the process as convenient as possible. Simply choose the appropriate student type from the list below, and you will be linked to a site with related information and admission requirements. Once we receive your application and all required admission credentials, your file will be reviewed promptly, and you will be notified in writing of our decision.

First-Time Freshmen
You are considered a freshman student if you have completed a high school diploma or GED and have not completed any post-secondary work at an accredited institution since graduating or obtaining your GED.

Transfer Students
You are considered a transfer student if you have completed any post-secondary (after high school) work at an accredited college/institution.
To be considered for transfer admission for the Spring 2013 semester, all documents must be received by December 1. Students who are not able to provide documents by this date can change their application to be considered for the Summer or Fall semester.
