WVU Visitors Center

The WVU Visitors Center combines cutting-edge technology with traditional West Virginia hospitality. Your tour will begin with an admissions presentation and then our expert student guides will give you a walking/driving tour of the campus. If you want to meet a specific department representative or attend a class, please request this during your reservation. (Please note, admissions presentations, department representatives and classes are not available on Saturday.) Tours include a classroom, the Mountainlair Student Union, a residence hall, the Student Recreation Center, and more. Reservations are required.

Academic Excellence Celebration

This event recognizes our Academic Excellence Scholarship recipients. It is by invitation only to admitted non-resident high school seniors who have a minimum 3.5 GPA and ACT of 27 or SAT of 1220.

Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources High School Visitation Day

Gain an in-depth look at the Statler College by attending the High School Visitation Day. The program features a departmental showcase to learn more about each engineering major, including senior design projects, undergraduate research, and student organizations. Examples of demonstrations include computer-aided design and manufacturing, alternative fuels vehicle, Solar Decathlon, concrete canoe competition, hand recognition device, lunabotics robot, nanotechnology, and more.
