Submit Additional Documents

If you were admitted based on unofficial transcripts, or transcripts that did not show your final grades and graduation, you will need to provide final official documents.

Do you need to submit additional documents?

Official transcripts

If the documents you provided to WVU were scanned, faxed, emailed or were unverified photocopies then you need to provide official documents. Official means either original documents from the school, or certified copies.

school should be able to provide you with an original transcript that either they can ship to us, or they can prepare for you in a sealed envelope, which you can ship to us.However, if your school issued only one original document and you have that document, you may take your original document to your school or some other official who is authorized to make certified copies of documents, to make a certified copy that you can then send to us. Then you can keep the original.

Certified copies need to have the stamp, seal and/or signature of the office that is attesting to its authenticity.

Final grades and graduation

If the documents you provided to WVU did not have final grades, or did not show successful completion of secondary education, you will need to provide updated transcripts showing your final grades and graduation.

Common Application

If you applied through the Common Application and self-reported your courses and grades, you must submit an official copy of your transcripts and/or diploma.
