Biography:
Research on alternative fuels and emissions is Chet’s academic passion in the mechanical engineering program.

Outside the lab, his interest turns to a different mode of transportation – cycling. He competes in mountain bike races throughout the East Coast as a member of the WVU Cycling Team.

Chet, a native of Malaysia, is one of the hundreds of international students who call WVU home. After graduating with a master’s degree in August 2009, he hopes to remain in the US and work as a mechanical engineer.

Would you recommend WVU to other international students?
Yes, because people here are nice and friendly, and they could also gain a lot of cultural experiences.

What is your favorite place on campus?
Creative Arts Center, because you can enjoy listening to free music plays.
Describe your best day as a Mountaineer.
The football game!
Why did you choose WVU?
Because Morgantown is a small town that is surrounded by mountains, and it’s also situated at the center of the East Coast, where you can conveniently travel to big cities like New York City and Washington, DC.
