When you enroll at WVU, you will become a member of the vibrant local community. Morgantown has been ranked as the “#1 Small City in America,” the “Best Small City in the East,” and the “3rd-Best Small Town” in the nation.
The natural beauty of West Virginia is awe-inspiring, and opportunities for skiing, hiking, rock climbing, white-water rafting, and snowboarding are close by.
“Morgantown is great. It has all of the amenities of a big city but a small-town atmosphere. Everything you’d want in a city is here. Everyone’s your friend, everyone’s looking out for you. It’s a great town to live in.”—Nick Hornbeck, civil engineering senior from Carroll, OH
“The people of Morgantown are some of the friendliest people I have ever come across. The location and the people in Morgantown make WVU the great place that it is.”—Grant Johnson, physical education/teacher education junior
from Elmira, NY

The PRT
The Personal Rapid Transit makes it easy and inexpensive to get from here to there on the WVU campus. PRT costs are included in undergraduate tuition and fees; students simply swipe their Mountaineer Card IDs at the PRT station for admittance.
