Whatever the level of academic assistance you need, it is available for you at WVU.
Academic Resource Centers, conveniently located in the WVU residence halls, offer free tutoring in any subject. The centers also give help with study skills, time management, and stress management, and organize groups of student to assist each other with difficult subjects.
Some academic departments and colleges sponsor tutoring programs to the classes they offer. For example, drop by the Math Learning Center or the Chemistry Learning Center to get help, or consult with the staff of the WVU Writing Center to improve your writing skills.
Tutoring programs also are provided to address the needs of specific groups within our student population. The Student Support Services (SSS) program provides free tutoring and workshops on writing skills, as well as many other services, and is open to students with disabilities, students who are income eligible, and first-generation college students. Student athletes can request tutoring through the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Academic Support Services.
