Community Service

Helping others helps the community and students. Through the Center for Civic Engagement, WVU students have contributed thousands of hours of service to our community and state, sometimes receiving academic course credit for their efforts. From developing marketing plans for non-profits to creating foreign language activities for after-school programs, service learning possibilities exist for WVU students of any major.

The Center for Civic Engagement is also your gateway to volunteer positions at hundreds of local agencies. Students can record their service hours online to document their work and allow for future verification of their volunteer service—a valuable resource when applying for internships and jobs.
