schedule a visit.
Apply early.
Submit your student’s
admissions application and required documents as early as possible.
Updated test scores can be sent later (by June 1 for merit scholarship consideration).
Pay the academic deposit early.
After your student is admitted,
pay the academic deposit even if they aren’t sure they want to attend WVU.
The academic deposit is required to receive housing and orientation information.
Don’t worry – if your student decides not to attend WVU and notifies us in
writing by May 1 (or December 1 for spring term enrollment), you will get a
full refund of the academic deposit.
All first-time freshman students complete a
New Student Orientation program that includes online modules, a virtual meeting
with an academic adviser to finalize their fall classes, and an in-person program.
Keep in touch with WVU.
Remind your student to check their WVU email regularly for important messages and
reminders – payment deadlines, residence hall move-in information, etc. And
remember,
