Favorite Thing About WVU

Opportunity! WVU is accessible to good students but also provides opportunities for high-achieving students. With hundreds of majors and clubs and organizations, WVU really does offer something for everyone. A wide range of scholarship and financial aid opportunities helps make WVU affordable. Research and study abroad are among other great opportunities afforded to WVU students.

Favorite Thing About Your Job

I enjoy helping all students and their families navigate the enrollment process, but I find it especially rewarding to assist first generation students and their parents. I know from personal experience that if you’re the first in the family to attend college, the process can be intimidating.

Advice for Students

Be an active participant. When you’re visiting college campuses or working with admissions representatives, show interest and don’t let your parents do all the talking. Make phone calls on your own behalf and get involved in the financial aid application process when the time comes. It’s great to have the support of your family, but try to speak for yourself as much as possible.

When You're Not Working You're

I enjoy spending time outdoors year-round. I also enjoy traveling and make a point of seeking out unique restaurants and coffee shops when I’m visiting other places. I enjoy reading about others’ travel adventures, too.
